Instilation

Ok, so here is some relatively poor documentation of my instillation. Since I had to change a few things last minute I'll freely admit that the some different colour would have been a good idea.

Proposal for social commentary project/ studio shoot project

Ok, first up, I intend to umbrella the idea for both of these assesments. My social comentary is going to be on the annonymity of modern day violence within the social setting. I'm going to use a freinds studio for this, primarily because he has the gear and the time to help run me through a few of the technical sides of this project that are going to be paramount to its success. Not to mention that he also has a black backdrop which is what I personally prefer to work with. I'm hoping to be able to tackle everything in the one shoot and perhaps just get some texture and scene shots for the montage. Though, give that there are some darker props, I may need to get a few shots done with a white backdrop. With the montage, I'll more than likely use the repition of figures a grimy, maybe throw in something to show a bit of innocense. Also I anticipate that I'll use some fire in both shoots, thus making it a bit of an OH&S thing for TAFE.

Stuff I did in photography

Basically I think I want to do some drawings based of these photos I had to take for Dave's class.

Sol Lewitt Pop-up Room

Ok, here is the short hand -

Me + Syndey = Art Gallery. This happened on the weekend.

Sol LeWitt + conceptual artist = Kids activity in said Art Gallery.

This all equals Me + Kids activity.

Basically Sol LeWitt had the Jones for going around and giving out the same set of specific construction methods to different designers, draftsmen etc. Why would anyone do this you ask? Because the very few instructions that allowed for variables created vast differences in design. Basically this dude really dug on showing the difference between different peoples working methods. Aaaaaanyways, having a watered down version of such an experiment happens to be a fine way to entertain lads and lasses on a weekend while their parents observe the art. Enter Toothy.

I squiggled in a single wall and then left a note saying finish me next to the very unfinished structure. I signed the bottom for good measure and left a pen and a few pencils on the desk cause I'm just nice like that. Not sure what happened to the box and in many respects I don't care. I figure it had some effect because there was sort of a small group of kids whatching me work. Not sure why.

In any case, this is my contibution to the artwork to be...
